I'm a venture investor based in Calgary, Canada. Currently I'm creating a portfolio of venture investments focused on supporting powerful, impactful, entrepreneurial spirits develop and grow their startups in the fast-paced, growing innovation ecosystem of western Canada. Strong belief in the power of collaboration, so actively try to be part of the developing the local tech start-up community.
The company is named after Mont Beuvray located in the Morvan massif in France and home to Bibracte, capital of the Aedui. For a long time, this region acted as a retreat for me to escape from the noisy world into a tranquil setting where I could reflect on the past and ponder about the future. Starting from here, I began a metamorphosis to begin focusing my work in a more purposeful and impactful direction. As such, my portfolio encompasses companies focused on strong purpose and forceful impact.
Though generally sector-agnostic, cleantech and agtech themed companies often are on my radar, as they relate closely to my engineering background, and my small-town western Canada roots. Keen interest in important developing trends, mainly pure-impact investing. The best is when all of these things can be found in one company.
Target to enter at a pre-seed stage, but also consider some seed-stage opportunities.
Investing in a company at an early stage should be an active relationship. I have a passion for general business and can adapt quickly to new fields. I am able to relate my past business experiences and expertise to advise and help build your venture at a degree we agree is appropriate. I am a thoughtful, empathetic leader, who is excited to be part of your journey.
I have completed a BSc in Engineering from the University of Alberta and an EMBA with honours from IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
